Current infrastructural networks are under high pressure from congestion and technological advances are taking us towards a future with automated vehicles. How can we optimize transport networks in combination with automated vehicles and how will this affect the urban fabric, streets and the way we perceive transportation?
Current infrastructural networks are under high pressure from congestion and technological advances are taking us towards a future with automated vehicles. How can we optimize transport networks in combination with automated vehicles and how will this affect the urban fabric, streets and the way we perceive transportation?
Project goals are to research the effects of automated transport on existing cities with different morphological typologies and to create a vision for the ultimate automated transport city. This will be done through the use of simulations, animations, studies of urban fabrics and technological views on the future of our transportation.
